Solution

The correct option is C

Na(NH4)HPO4.4H2O

Na(NH4)HPO4.4H2O is called microcosmic salt. It is prepared by dissolving Na2PO4 and NH4Cl. Like Borax, it is used for detecting coloured ions like Mn2+, Cu2+ etc. through bead test. Heating it gives sodium metaphosphate, which forms coloured beadswhen heated with coloured salts.

Na(NH4)HPO4.4H2O NH3 + H2O + NaPO3

CuSO4 CuO + SO3

CuO + NaPO3 CuNaPO4 (blue bead)

Sodium Copper Orthophosphate
