What is the height of the figure? T he term corresponding height means that height always corresponds to a base.

Going by the above logic, in fig. 1, corresponding to AB, the corresponding height is AD or BC i.e. ‘a’. Similarly in fig.2, corresponding to AD, it is AB or CD i.e. ‘b’. Fig. 3 is a tricky one. Though it looks like the height is ‘c’, it is not so. For base BC, the height can be determined by putting the figure as shown below.

So, for BC height is ‘b’.
