Given

Length of the road = 5 km

5 km = 5000 m [ 1 km = 1000 m ]

5000 m = 500000 cm [ 1 m = 100 cm ]

Distance between two saplings = 2 m 50 cm

2 m 50 cm = 200 cm + 50 cm = 250 cm

Total number of saplings = 2560

Number of saplings planted = $\frac{Totallength}{Distancebetweentwosaplings}=\frac{50000}{250}$

= 2000

Number of saplings left = Total saplings - No. of saplings planted

= 2560 - 2000 = 560
