Cost of one pair of hand gloves =$15
Cost of one pair of cricket pads =$10

Total cost of the above 3 new uniforms for 1 player =$12+$15+$10
Total cost of the above 3 new uniforms for 8 players =8×($12+$15+$10)

As we know that the multiplication is distributive over addition,
=$(8×12+8×15+8×10)
=$(96+120+80)
