The correct option is A Louis Pasteur
Louis Pasteur proved the theory of biogenesis that stated that life arose from pre-existing life. He used a special flask whose neck was shaped like an S or the neck of a swan, hence the name ‘swan neck flask’.
The experiment was as follows:-
* Louis Pasteur took broth in swan neck flasks and boiled it to kill any microorganism present.
* The swan neck acted as a filter which did not allow entry of microorganisms from the outside. No life appeared for a long time.
* On breaking the neck and exposing the broth to air, Pasteur observed that microbes developed in the broth suggesting that microbes did not arise spontaneously from the broth but from the other microbes present in the air.
