The sea water can be classified as a homogeneous mixture of water and common salt, where salt is uniformly distributed throughout the water.

On the other hand, sea water also consists of sand particles, mud, decayed plants, and many other things. They are distributed non-uniformly througout the water which makes it heterogeneous in nature.
