The correct option is A Barrackpore
The sepoy mutiny was a widespread but unsuccessful rebellion against British rule in India in 1857–58. A rumour spread among the sepoys that the grease used to lubricate the cartridges was a mixture of pigs’ and cows’ lard. This had hurt both Hindus' and Muslims' religious sentiments. Mangal Pandey was the first soldier who refused to use the greased cartridge. He was a sepoy in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry regiment of the British East India Company. His attack on British officers in Barrackpore on March 29, 1857, was the first major incident of what came to be known as the Sepoy Mutiny.
