We have x+y=2π3 and

cosx+cosy=32

cosx+cos(2π3x)=32

cosx+cosxcos2π3+sinxsin2π3=32

cosx12cosx+32sinx=32

cosx+3sinx=3

Now maximum value of LHS is =12+(3)2=2 Note: a2+b2asinx+bcosxa2+b2

Hence there is no solutions
