Open in App
Solution

To find the area of the given figure, it may be considered as the sum of the area of a rectangle(C) and 2 semicircles(A+B).
Radius of circle is r=Diameter2
r=72
r=3.5 m
Length of rectangle =20(3.5+3.5)=207=13m

Width of rectangle=7m

Area of rectangle =lenght×width
=13×7=91sq.cm

Area of semicircle A=12(227×r×r)
A=12(227×3.5×3.5)

Area of semicircle B=12(227×3.5×3.5)

Area of A and B=12(227×3.5×3.5)+12(227×3.5×3.5)

=2×12(227×3.5×3.5)

=227×3.5×3.5=38.5sq.m

Total area = Area of A+B+C

=91+38.5sq.m

=129.5sq.m
