The shorter side of a parallelogram is 4.8 cm and the longer side is half as much again as the shorter side. Find the perimeter of the parallelogram.

In a parallelogram shorter side (b)=4.8 cm.
$\therefore$ longer side $\left(l\right)=4.8+\frac{1}{2}\times 4.8$
$=4.8+2.4=7.2cm$
$\therefore$ Perimeter = 2(l+b)=2(7.2+4.8) cm
$=2\times 12.0=24cm$
