Total volume of water = 3 $\frac{3}{7}$ L

Let us convert the mixed number to improper fraction.

3 $\frac{3}{7}$ = $\frac{24}{7}$

Each pot gets 1 $\frac{1}{7}$ L of water = $\frac{8}{7}$ L

Number of pots = $\frac{24}{7}$ $\div$ $\frac{8}{7}$

= $\frac{24}{7}$ $\times$ $\frac{7}{8}$
