The side of a square is 10 cm. Find the area of circumscribed and inscribed circles.
For the inscribed circle:
Diameter = Side of the square = 10 cm
Radius = 10/2 = 5 cm
Area of the circle =πr2=227×5×5=78.57 cm2
For the circumscribed circle:
Diameter = Diagonal of the square = 10√2 cm
Radius = 5√2 cm
So, area = π×5√2×5√2=157.14 cm2
