The side of a square is 10 cm. Find the area of circumscribed and inscribed circles.

For the inscribed circle:

Diameter = Side of the square = 10 cm

Radius = 10/2 = 5 cm

Area of the circle =πr2=227×5×5=78.57 cm2

For the circumscribed circle:

Diameter = Diagonal of the square = 102 cm

Radius = 52 cm

So, area = π×52×52=157.14 cm2
