Let, the side of square is A=5cm ∴ Area of square =A2=(5cm)2=25cm2.....(i) Now, Let, the side of new square is B=2Acm=2×5cm=10cm ∴ Area of square =B2=(10cm)2=100cm2....(ii) Thus, (i) and (ii) shows that the area will increased by 4 time.
