Solution

Finding the sides of right triangle.

We know that for every natural number m>12m,m21andm2+1 form a Pythagoream triplet.

Let us consider m2+1=17

So, m2=17-1

m2=16

m=16

m=4

So, 2m=2×4

=8

And, m2-1=42-1

=16-1

=15

The sides of a right triangle whose hypotenuse is 17cmare8cmand15cm.
