Solution

Steps: Adding three sides of triangle
Given, the sides of triangle are:
2𝑥+3𝑦, 𝑥+5𝑦 and 7𝑥−2𝑦.
We know that, perimeter of a triangle is equal to sum of the three sides.
⇒ Perimeter = (2𝑥+3𝑦)+(𝑥+5𝑦)+(7𝑥−2𝑦)
= (2𝑥+𝑥+7𝑥)+(3𝑦+5𝑦−2𝑦) [Grouping like terms]
= (3𝑥+7𝑥)+(8𝑦−2𝑦)
= 10𝑥+6𝑦
Hence, the perimeter of the triangle is 10𝑥+6𝑦.
