The correct option is C 9 cm
Let the ABC have sides AB=5cm,
BC=6 cm and AC=7cm.
Let the midpoints of the sides AB and AC be points D and E respectively.
ADDB=AEEC ...By B.P.T

AD+DBDB=AE+ECEC ....By Componendo

ABDB=ACEC ......(1)

Also, BACDAE ....(2)

ABCADE ....SAS test of similarity

ABAD=BCDE=ACAE ....C.S.S.T

But ABAD=AB12AB=12

BCDE=12


Perimeter (ADE)=AD+DE+AE
=12AB+12BC+12AC

=12(AB+BC+AC)

=12×18=9 cm.

So, option C is correct.
