Solution

The correct option is A

500(15)

The area of a triangle is given by the Heron's formula, A=s(sa)(sb)(sc)
Let side a be x, then b = 2x and c = 2x
Perimeter, p = x + 2x + 2x = 5x = 500m
Thus, x = 100m
a=x=100m,b=c=2x=200m
s=a+b+c2 = 100+200+2002
= 5002=250m
A=s(sa)(sb)(sc)
=250(250100)(250200)(250200)
=250(150)(50)(50)
=(25)(15)(10000) = 50015m2
