Let the sides of the triangle be 12x cm, 14x cm and 25x cm.
Thus, we have:
$$\begin{gathered} \mathrm{Perimeter}=12x+14x+25x \\ \Rightarrow 25.5=51x \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{25.5}{51}=0.5 \end{gathered}$$

∴ Greatest side of the triangle$=25x=25\times 0.5=12.5\mathrm{cm}$
