Solution

If a,b,c are the sides of a triangle , then according to Hero's Formula area of triangle is s(sa)(sb)(sc)

where s=a+b+c2

For the given triangle,

s=x+x+1+2x12

=4x2=2x

Area =x10

2x(2xx)(2xx1)(2x2x+1)=x10

2x(x)(x1)(1)=x10

x2(x1)=x10

2(x1)=10

2(x1)=10

x1=5

x=6
