Open in App
Solution

(1) Side of the square is 25 cm.
Area of a square =(side)2
= 25 cm × 25 cm
= 625 sq cm
∴ The area of the square is 625 sq cm.

(2) Side of the square is 2.8 m.
Area of a square = (side)2
= 2.8 m × 2.8 m
= 7.84 sq m
∴ The area of the square is 7.84 sq m.

(3) Side of the square is 7.2 cm.
Area of a square = (side)2
= 7.2 cm × 7.2 cm
= 51.84 sq cm
∴ The area of the square is 51.84 sq cm.

(4) Side of the square is 13.5 m.
Area of a square = (side)2
= 13.5 m × 13.5 m
= 182.25 sq m
∴ The area of the square is 182.25 sq m.
