The sides of triangle are 8,15 and 17. Determine whether it is right-angled triangle .

The sides of the triangles are 8, 15 and 17 units.
The longest side is 17 units.
(17)2 = 289 ...(1)
Now, we will calculate the sum of the squares of the two other two sides .
(8)2 +(15)2 = 64 + 225 = 289 ...(2)
From equations (1) and (2), we get:
(17)2 = (8)2 + (15)2
Thus, these are the sides of a right-angled triangle by the converse of Pythagoras' Theorem.
