Solution

The correct option is A Pangaea
The landmass of Earth is divided into big pieces, each called a continent now. They are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Most of them are separated from each other by the sea. It is predicted that the formation of Earth took place around 4.5 billion years ago (bya).

About 300 million years ago, Earth did not have seven continents, but instead one massive supercontinent called Pangaea, which was surrounded by a single ocean called Panthalassa. Later, the crust and top part of the mantle were broken up into two supercontinents called Laurasia and Gondwana. Then these two supercontinents are divided into many plate-like sections called tectonic plates. The interaction between these tectonic plates led to the formation of all the present day continents. So it is proved that all the present day continents were a part of a single big landmass called Pangaea earlier.
