Solution

The correct option is D Both B and C
The slime moulds are also called as consumer and decomposer. Slime moulds are organisms, that use spores to reproduce. As long as the food is abundant, they occur as single-celled organisms; when the food is in short supply, these single-celled organisms club together and move as a single body and feed on other organisms in any type of dead plant material to obtain food due to the lack of ability to synthesize its own food from inorganic sources. Hence, referred to as consumers / heterotrophs. They contribute to the decomposition of the dead vegetation and so they are called as decomposers as well.
