The solubility of gases in water decreases with increase in temperature.
True
The solubility of gases in water is inversely proportional to temperature because if the temperature increases then the vibrational kinetic energy of molecules increases and it breaks intermolecular bonds and gas escape from the solution. More gas is dissolved at a lower temperature as compared to higher temperature.
Example:- Boiled water also tastes "flat" because all of the dissolved gases have been removed by heating.
