Solution

The correct option is B

False

x + 2y = 5,....(i)

7x + 3y = 13....(ii)

From (i) x = 5 - 2y

Substituting x in (ii) we get
7(5 - 2y) + 3y = 13

-11y = - 22

y = 2

Substituting the value of y in (i) we get

x = 5 - 2(2)

x = 1
Hence, the solution is (1, 2).
