The correct option is C

We are given:

$\frac{x}{a}$ + $\frac{y}{b}$ = 1 ------- (1) ;

$y = 0$ ______(2) [ Equation of the $x a x i s$ is $y = 0$ ]

Subsituting $y = 0$ in the first equation we get,

$\frac{x}{a} + 0 = 1$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{a} = 1$

$∴ x = a$ .

Hence the solution is (a,0)
