The correct option is D $x = 4, y = - 0.5$
$0.25 x + 0.6 y = 0.7$ ........eq1
$0.3 x - 3.5 y = 2.95$ .....eq2
Multiply eq1 by $3$ and eq2 by $2.5$ , we get
$0.75 x + 1.8 y = 2.1$ .......eq3
$0.75 x - 8.75 y = 7.375$ ........eq4
Subtracting both eqs, we get
$10.55 y = - 5.275$
$y = - 0.5$
Substitute the value of $y$ in eq1,
$0.25 x - 0.3 = 0.7$
$0.25 x = 0.10$
$x = 4$
Hence, $x = 4$ and $y = - 0.5$ .
