The correct option is D x=4,y=0.5
0.25x+0.6y=0.7 ........eq1
0.3x3.5y=2.95 .....eq2
Multiply eq1 by 3 and eq2 by 2.5, we get
0.75x+1.8y=2.1 .......eq3
0.75x8.75y=7.375 ........eq4
Subtracting both eqs, we get
10.55y=5.275
y=0.5
Substitute the value of y in eq1,
0.25x0.3=0.7
0.25x=0.10
x=4
Hence, x=4 and y=0.5.
