The correct option is B

(2, 1)


x + 2y = 5 -------------(1)

7x + 3y = 13 -------------(2)

solving the two equations as 7×(1) will give us 7x + 14y = 35 ------------(3)

Now, (3) - (2) = 11y = 22 or y = 2, substituting y = 2 in any of the equations will give us x = 1

So, x = 1 and y = 2

Hence, the solution is (1, 2).
