Solution

The correct option is A 98.9KJ1mol1
Solution:- (A) 98.9kJ/mol
Formation of ammonia-
N2(g)+3H2(g)2NH3(g)
ΔS for the given reaction-
ΔS=ΔSproductΔSreactant
ΔS=(2×192.6)(191.5+(3×130.5))
ΔS=385.2583=197.8kJ/mol
ΔS for the formation of 2 mole of ammonia =197.8kJ/mol
ΔS for the formation of 1 mole of ammonia =197.82=98.9kJ/mol
Hence the value of ΔS during the formation of one mole of ammonia is 98.9kJ/mol.
