The state of Punjab is divided into four geographical regions, namely the Majha, Doaba, Malwa, and Puadh regions. Majha is the region between the rivers Ravi and Beas. The Doaba region is between Beas and Sutlej. Malwa lies below the river Sutlej and extends till the Yamuna river. Some parts of the Puadh region are a part of the Malwa region as well.
