Solution

Graafian follicle:

  1. During the maturation of an ovum, the follicle grows in size and develops a fluid-filled cavity. At this stage, it is called the graafian follicle.
  2. When the graafian follicle bursts, it releases the ovum through the process of ovulation and the remaining part left is the yellow-colored structure called corpus luteum.
  3. The corpus-luteum secretes a hormone that is progesterone which helps in maintaining pregnancy.

Corpus callosum:

  1. It refers to the thick bundle of nerve fibers that connects the two hemispheres of the brain.
  2. It ensures signal transmission and communication between both sides of the brain.
