The steps involved in the formation of urine are given below. Arrange them in the correct sequence.
1. Collection of urine
2. Ultrafiltration
3. Reabsorption of ions from renal tubules
4. Collection of glomerular filtrate
5. Excess urea secreted from peritubular capillaries
2-->4-->3-->5-->1
Urine formation in kidney takes place in three major steps: ultrafiltration, tubular secretion and absorption, and water absorption. During ultrafiltration, blood undergoes filtration through the pores of the glomerulus. The glomerular filtrate formed by the process of ultrafiltration is collected in the capsular space. After that when the glomerular filtrate is transported from the capsular space to the collecting duct through the renal tubule, reabsorption of useful ions takes place. After this, the excess amount of urea is secreted from peritubular capillaries. In the end, the urine gets collected inside the collecting ducts. So the correct sequence is 2-->4-->3-->5-->1.
