As per the given figures
The linear limit of material (ii) is more than that of material (i), hence material (ii) is more elastic than material (i). But this is not the reason for the brittleness of material (ii).
Since the material (i) can sustain more strain before fracture as compared to material (ii), therefore material (ii) is more brittle as compared to material (i).
