Let Sn=12+16+24+40+...upto10terms

Sn=8+4+(8+8)+(8+16)+(8+32)+.....upto10termsSn=8×10+4+8+16+.....upto10terms

4,8,16,...... is a geometric progression with the first term a=4 and common ratio r=2.

Sum of geometric progression=arn-1r-1

4+8+16+......=4(2)10-12-1

=41024-1=4×1023=4092

80+4+8+16+......=80+4092=4172
