Open in App
Solution

(-5pq+5)+(12pq+2)+(7pq-8)+(-2pq-5)=-5pq+5+12pq+2+7pq-8-2pq-5

=-5pq+12pq+7pq-2pq+5+2-8-5 (Taking the terms having same variables together and constants together)

=-5+12+7-2pq+5+2-8-5 (Coefficients of like terms are added)

=12pq+-6

=12pq-6.

Therefore, the sum of -5pq+5, 12pq+2, 7pq-8, and -2pq-5 is 12pq-6.
