Solution

The correct option is A

3050

Numbers divisible by 2 are 2, 4, ........100.

50 terms (1)

Numbers divisible by 5 are 5,10,,100

20 terms (2)

Numbers divisible by 2 and 5 are 10,20,,100

10 terms (3)

When we add (1) and (2), (3) gets added twice. So we will subtract it from the sum(1) + (2).

Sum of numbers in (1) is 502(2+100)

=102×25

Sum of numbers in (2) is 202(5+100)

=105×10

Sum of numbers in (3) is 102(10+100)

=110×5

Required sum = (1) + (2) - (3) [from figure]

=25×102+10×1055×110

=3050
