The sum of the ages of a father and his son is 60 years . If the son's age is 30 years less than the father's age , find the age of the father .

Let us take xis the age of father .

and the age of son is =x-30 years .

According to question ,

The sum of ages of father and his son =60

x+x-30=602x=60+302x=90x=902x=45

Hence , the required age of father is 45 .
