Let the age of Vivek $=x$ yrs.

and Age of Amit $=y$ yrs.

According to question,

$x+y=47$ and

$xy=550$

Now,

$(47-y)y=550$

$\Rightarrow 47y-y^2=550$

$\Rightarrow y^2-47y+550=0$

$\Rightarrow (y-22)(y-25)=0$

$\Rightarrow y=22$ or $y=25$

Since, Amit is younger brother, age of Amit $=22$ yrs.

And Age of Vivek $=25$ yrs.
