The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 8. The digit in the units place is 1 more than six times the digit in the tens place. Find the number.

Let the digit in tens place be x,
So, the digit in unit place is 1+6x,

sum of digits =8
x + 1+6x = 8
7x=7
x=1

digit in tens place = 1
digit in unit place = 1+6x= 1+6 =7

Therefore, 2 digit number = 17
