$\to$ Let age of father be x yrs

$\therefore$ son = (53-x) yrs

$\therefore$ By given condition

$x-4=4(53-x-4)$

$\therefore x-4=4(49-x)$

$\therefore x-4=196-4x$

$\therefore 5x=196+4$

$\therefore x=\frac{200}{5}=40yrs$

$\therefore$ father age = 40 yrs

$\therefore$ son age = 53 - 40

$=13yrs$
