Given, r1+r2=7 cm ...(1)

Difference of their circumferences = 8 cm (Given)

2 pi r subscript 1 minus 2 pi r subscript 2 equals 8 c m 2 pi open parentheses r subscript 1 minus r subscript 2 close parentheses equals 8 c m 2 cross times 22 over 7 cross times open parentheses r subscript 1 minus r subscript 2 close parentheses equals 8 c m open parentheses r subscript 1 minus r subscript 2 close parentheses equals 56 over 44 c m equals 14 over 11 c m minus negative negative open parentheses 2 close parentheses

Adding (1) and (2), we get
