Open in App
Solution

Let the three consecutive natural numbers be x,(x+1) and (x+2)

It is given that, sum of three consecutive natural numbers is 51.

x+(x+1)+(x+2)=51

3x+3=51

3x+33=513 [Subtracting 3 from both the sides]

3x=48

3x3=483 [Dividing both the sides by 3]

x=16

x+1=16+1=17

x+2=16+2=18
Thus, the three natural numbers are 16, 17 and 18.
