The sum of three numbers is 264 If the first number be twice the second and third number be one-third of the first then find the second number?

Let the second number be x Then
First number =2x and third number $= \frac{2 x}{3}$
Given $2 x + x + \frac{2 x}{3} = 264 \Rightarrow \frac{6 x + 3 x + 2 x}{3} = 264 \Rightarrow 11 x = 264 \times 3 \Rightarrow x = \frac{264 \times 3}{11} = 72$
