Let the number be x and $(28 - x)$

Then, $x (28 - x) = 192 \Leftrightarrow x^{2} - 28 x + 192 = 0 \Leftrightarrow (x - 16) (x - 12) = 0$ $\Leftrightarrow x = 16 o r x = 12.$

So, the numbers are 16 and 12
