Let two natural numbers be x and y

Sum of x and y$=20$

$x+y=20$ ………$\left(1\right)$

Difference of x and y

$=4$

$x-y=4$ ……….$\left(2\right)$

Add equation $\left(1\right)$ & equation $\left(2\right)$

$2x=24$

$x=12$

Put $x=12$ in equation $\left(1\right)$

$y=8$

First number is $12$ and second number is $8$.
