The sum of two numbers exceeds thrice the smaller by 2. If the difference between them is 19, find the numbers

We have,
Let x, y
taking x>y
(1)x+y=3y+2
(2)xy=19
From the (2) equation we can say that,
x=19+y ………..(3)
x value in equation to get,
19+2y=3y+2
y=17
Y value in equation (3) to get,
x=19+y
x=19+17
x=36
Hence, this is answer.
