The correct option is B 8 and 17

Let the number be x.

Then the other number = x + 9

Sum of the two numbers = 25

x + x + 9 = 25

2x + 9 = 25

2x + 9 - 9 = 25 - 9

2x = 16

2x/2 = 16/2

x = 8 and x + 9 = 8 + 9 = 17.

Therefore, the required numbers are 8 and 17.
