The sum of two numbers = X + Y
= 53.12

Let the given one number 33.76 be X

Let the other number be Y then,
X + Y = 53.12
33.76 + Y = 53.12
Y = 53.12 - 33.76

Let's subtract 53.1233.76:

Step 1: Align the decimal numbers according to their place values one below the other.

Step 2: Subtract the numbers in the column from the right.
