$\therefore$ $a+b=85⟶\left(1\right)$

Also

$b=a+25⟶\left(2\right)$

Substituting the value of $b$ from $\left(2\right)$ in equation $\left(1\right)$ we get

$a+a+25=85$

$2a=60$

$a=30$

$\therefore$ $b=55$

$\therefore$ the two numbers are $30,55$.
