Step : Finding the other rational number Let, two rational numbers be p and q.

Given, p+q=4 and one of them say p=1312.

1312+q=4

q=4(1312)

q=41+1312

q=4×121×12+1312 [LCM of 1 and 12 = 12]

q=48+1312

q=3512

Hence, the other rational number is 3512.
